NEXT GEN PROGRAMME
Next Gen Man City aims to connect the next generation of leaders with the sport industry and give them their first experience of what a future career in the sector could look like. This unique summer residential programme takes 14-17 year old students inside the world of Premier League Champions, Manchester City, and offers a hands-on immersion into the business of sport.
New for 2025, Next Gen Man City is offering three unique modules to study –
Each module consists of an extensive one-week schedule of activities, learning from industry experts.
They are also launching four unique residential and non-residential packages for students to tailor their experience. Each package increases by one-week in duration. It’s simple – the longer you study with us, the more Modules you can experience!
Course leaders will guide students through interactive workshops and group activities that will bring programme topics to life. Their learning framework is designed to foster growth in both personal and professional areas, empowering individuals to thrive in the future.

SUMMER COLLEGIATE
The four-week collegiate programme delves into the business aspects of football by exploring fundamental areas associated with managing and growing the global game.
The programme will centre around four key modules: governance and strategy, commercial operations, marketing and community engagement, and the media. Through a blend of lectures, workshops, tutorials and site visits, students will gain a 360-degree outlook on the business side of football.
Students will explore key topics, examine real-world case studies and engage with industry professionals from Manchester City. By the end of the course, students will gain a well-rounded understanding of how football operates beyond the pitch and develop key insights into its truly global landscape.
Learning Outcomes:
- Explore the governance and financial structures in football.
- Analyse commercial operations and revenue streams within the industry.
- Identify and develop strategies for marketing, branding and fan engagement.
- Gain insight into the role of media and communication in football.
